Farewell to our fabulous cross walk attendant
On Tuesday 28 March the P&F hosted a farewell morning tea for our wonderful crosswalk lady Gim, held in our school’s very own delicious Chalk Cafe! Thank you to one of our parents Paula Wyeth for her organisation of the morning. Thank you to all the lovely parents who came to have a cuppa and chat. Gim kept us all in fits of giggles, as well as shedding a tear or two, as she spoke about her time at the School and her interesting life. Gim is hoping to stay till the end of the year but may leave earlier if a position becomes available nearer to her new home. So make sure you take the time to return her infectious smile and thank her for all her years of service to our school. I know my morning drive will be a little less bright after she leaves. Thank you Gim!

Welcome to our new committee members
This year we have three brand new P&F Committee members who have taken on being part of our small but busy bunch with gusto. Thank you to Rajesh, Chris and Rebecca for your enthusiasm and energy as well as all our returning P&F members who give selflessly year after year of their time and energy to make our school special.

This year we are hoping to create P&F sub-committees so that more people can get involved in small but significant ways. You don’t have to sign up to the main committee for the year. Maybe you can label items for the Fair, help serve tea and coffee at events, help out at a disco or even suggest a great idea for a social event at the School. The possibilities are endless. Details of opportunities to become involved will be appearing soon in the eNewsletter so watch this space!

School Fair
Have you sent in your donations for the School Fair? Every child is expected to help out in some way so if you haven't heard about what you have to do now is the time to ask! The School still needs donations for raffles and prizes as well as second hand goods. So pop that bag of Freddos in the shopping basket and get the kids to clear out their rooms over the holidays and donate things they no longer use. It’s all going to benefit our kids in the long run, plus it will be a great day out for young and old with games, food trucks, various stall holders and a pet show no less.

If you know of anyone that would like to run a stall there are still some spots available so contact Gailene Shore on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Or visit the website at: http://www.jwacs.wa.edu.au/information-for-parents/events/item/639-fair-2017

I am co-ordinating with the Business Manager to help prepare everything for the Fair so if you can spare an hour or two to do small but important tasks like help label items please contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can make the Fair a roaring success!

Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held in the Library at 7.00pm on Thursday 27 April. This is the very first day back for Term 2. I hope to see you there!

Have a safe and fantastic Easter break.
