Thermomix Incursion

On Monday 1 May, the Year 11 and 12 Hospitality and Year 12 Food, Science and Technology students enjoyed an incursion with Jenny Hanna from Thermomix. The students learnt about the history of the Thermomix and used the machines to create mushroom cappuccino, pizza Bianca and hummus. They also did a comparison of the Thermomix and traditional cooking methods making floating islands served with sauce Anglaise and butterscotch sauce. It was a hands-on learning experience with the students developing an understanding of the capabilities of the machine in both Hospitality and home environments and seeing food science in action.
