The Musical Primary Reports Final Assembly Buddy BenchThis term we have seen the Buddy Bench in use in the Primary Playground. Sometimes children feel lonely or isolated at recess or lunchtime. Another student will then see them sitting on the bench and invite them to come and play, or may simply just choose to sit and talk to them. We have seen lots of children this term going up to someone on the buddy bench and saying “Would you like to come and play with me?” This is all an important part of the way that we show we care for one another at John Wollaston. Welcome to Term 3 2017

Welcome Back to the New Term International Students Staff Matters Coming Events Welcome Back to the New TermIt is always lovely to welcome students and staff back to the new term. The holiday fortnight offers time to recharge and rejuvenate and everyone returns happier for the break from the school routine. The yard is full of chatter and laughter about holiday activities. Thank you to staff Mr Quentin Hess, Miss Jessica Dunn and Ms Tracy Grant who led a very successful Year 12 Ski Trip to the Victorian snowfields. The students had a memorable trip with great snow, fun and friendship. As an annual event, the Ski Trip continues to grow in popularity with our Leavers. International StudentsWe have commenced this week with 986 students including 15 new students, three of whom are our first overseas full fee paying students through Anglican Schools Commission International (ASCI). I am delighted to welcome to Western Australia and our school community Peitong Ju (Year 9) and Yifei Wang (Year 10) who are from China and Clotilde Ding (Year 11) from Switzerland. As with all our newcomers, they will have a buddy to help them settle in to our school and become familiar with…
